Where To Eat Brunch On New Year's Day In Austin

View as Map

New Year's Eve is probably going to be awful. Probably you will eat a very expensive prix fixe dinner, which would be nice except your date, if you're lucky enough to have one, is being kind of a zero. Then it turns out that prix fixe booze was extra, and there are no cabs for miles. Count yourself a winner if nobody in your party pukes in or on anything or anyone.

But New Year's Day? New Year's Day can be your redemption. New Year's Day can be a time of hope and peace, topped with a Bloody Mary or Mimosa. Buffets abound, tacos are plentiful, and while you can't erase that disaster of a text you sent at 4 a.m., you can at least get so drunk on Sunday afternoon that you can put off worrying about it until Monday.

What we're saying is, Eater Austin is here to help with our New Year's Day hangover brunch map.
