We asked some of the city's best mixologists to prepare unique offerings, limited-time previews or otherwise rare cocktails from today through Friday (unless otherwise noted) so that Eater readers could get a taste of Austin's thriving cocktail scene.

It's $9, and features: Stroh Jagertee Austrian Rum, Calvados French Apple Brandy, Campari, FernetBranca, Sutton Cellars Dry Vermouth, Muddled Tangerines from Texas' WheelerFarms. Note: this cocktail is available from Wednesday through Friday, 11/30.

He says it's a little too involved for everyday rotation, but the Volstead's made an exception for cocktail week. Ingredients:Laird's Bonded Apple Brandy, Lemon juice, Bartlett Pear & Honey syrup in "rejuvenated" Moscato, Underberg.

Beginning Wednesday, Pam Pritchard of the Tigress will offer 'Mittens,' a Balcones Brimstone Whiskey cocktail featuring orgeat, orange liqueur and lemon juice. $10.

Rob Pate of Peché's serving the 'Hanky Panky' for $9. Ingredients: gin, sweet vermouth and Fernet Branca, "guaranteed to keep you warm."
