South First Street combines old South Austin flare with modern structures and destinations, which spans into the area’s restaurants. The colorful trucks, welcoming patios, and delicious smells spanning just about every corner make choosing a restaurant or food truck a difficult task.
To make it easier, Eater put together this handy dining guide to eating and drinking along the busy stretch of South First Street. From breakfast tacos at El Primo to fine dining at Lenoir to casual on-the-go meals at The Soup Peddler to excellent cups of coffee from Seventh Flag, this list has it all covered.
For the purposes of this map, this guide focuses only on businesses located right on or near South First Street from the river through highways 290 and 71, encompassing the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. Check out Eater Austin’s other neighborhood dining guides too.
