Why drink and exercise separately when it’s far more efficient to do them together? Luckily, several places around Austin have caught onto the detox/retox trend, offering workout classes with the opportunity to drink and socialize afterwards. While this may not be the most effective exercise strategy, it is certainly an economical one — classes range from free to $20, and include discounted or complimentary beverages.
Eater gathered the best restaurants, bars, hotels, and breweries offering fitness classes and workshops. Yoga and drinking seem to be a particularly popular pairing, with Infinite Monkey Theorem, and Circle Brewing Company hosting regular classes. Work out with rooftop views at Hangar Lounge, or up the ante by sweating poolside at the W Hotel. Whether you opt for a bootcamp and beer, or a run then a rum, don’t forget to hydrate with non-alcoholic drinks as well. Water is your friend.
