Sure, free drinks abound during SXSW, but sometimes you need to show off a little bit. From some of the region's best wine bars to Prohibition-era cocktails to limited-edition beers, these are the places for when Lone Star from a keg just won't cut it. Because it might help to actually pay for drinks if you're trying to impress someone.

A note: Why are some places we recommend outside of walking distance from the AT&T Conference Center? Austin has a lot to offer beyond the single-digit streets, and we wouldn't send you off somewhere in a cab unless it was worth it.
