Some days, only a quality burger, thick, juicy — something that Salt & Time or Hopdoddy Burger Bar can deliver — will satisfy that hunger. Other days, you crave something easier. A great cheap burger is something that cannot be taken lightly. It requires a perfect blend of meat, cheese, and of course, a side of fries.

With that, Eater put together a guide to the Austin's best cheap burgers. The city has long been the home of many burger chains. Nine of these were founded right here in the Austin, with the other over in Corpus Christi. All offer that wonderful satisfaction that only a cheap burger can provide.

For other burger needs, check out Eater's picks for essential burgers, hot new ones, veggie burgers, and, relatedly, Austin's iconic meat dishes (which includes a burger), and French fries.

Please not that the order is alphabetical, and does not represent any sort of ranking. Is your favorite cheap burger spot missing below? Let Eater know through the tipline, comments, or over on the forum.
