Austin’s craft beer scene is thriving, clearly seen with the expanding number of breweries setting forth for the city (and growing). This means there is certainly no shortage of places to grab excellent local brews from Live Oak Brewing, Austin Beerworks, Hops & Grain, and more.

This winter, find beer gardens like the downtown oasis of Easy Tiger, the Texas-obsessed list from Craft Pride (which pairs wonderfully with Detroit-style pizza from Via 313), the sturdy options of Workhorse Bar, kolache haven Batch, and others. This winter update adds East Austin brewery and taproom Central Machine Works.

For a guide to the best breweries with taprooms and tours in the Austin-area, Eater has it covered here. Then there are the city’s best beer gardens. Looking for other boozy options? There are cocktails both new and essential, wine, and happy hours.

Don’t see a favorite new or crucial craft beer hub on the list? Chime in on the tipline or the comments.
