Italian restaurants are still going strong in Austin, which means that pasta is always the rage. The carb-loaded comfort dish works well when the garlic and olive oil craving strikes.

Here is Eater’s map to Austin’s best bets for pasta, from Emmer & Rye’s craveable cacio e pepe, Andiamo’s delicate orecchiette del bosco, and more. It goes beyond just Italian spots too. There are stellar pasta takes to be found at other restaurants throughout the city, like Epicerie's gnocchi, Launderette's noodles, and more. This update includes L’oca d’Ora, Red Ash, and Asti. Alas, it said farewell to pasta shop La Dolda, which closed in December 2017.

To fulfill other pasta needs, check out Eater’s picks for the city’s best macaroni and cheese dishes.

If a favorite pasta spot isn’t on the map, let Eater know on the tipline or in the comments below.

With updates by Nadia Chaudhury.
