Texas Brewery Expansion
Driftwood brewery Vista Brewing opened a third tasting room in San Antonio over Memorial Day weekend. The tasting room and beer garden will serve the brewery’s beers (drafts, bottles), wine, cider, along with snacks by San Antonio vendors and food trucks. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, as well as takeout food. It’s found at 1333 Buena Vista Street, Suite 107. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, and then from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The original brewery opened in 2018, followed by the Bee Cave tasting room in September 2020.

South Asian Pizza Pop-Up
Asian-American pop-up Gan Bei Girls is hosting a three-day pizza event with Peached Tortilla Catering executive sous chef Sakif Khan and Central East Austin food truck Dough Boys this week. A different special will be available each day: Tuesday, June 1 features the kon-chijeu pizza with a sweet corn puree, smoked mozzarella, and kimchi mayonnaise; Wednesday, June 2 offers a gobi Manchurian pizza with fried cauliflower; and Thursday, June 3 has pav bhaji garlic knots. Orders can be placed online or in person at the food truck on 1108 East 12th Street; there is outside space available for dine-in service. Proceeds will be donated to nonprofit Asian Family Support Services.

Restaurant Relocation
The Round Rock location of Deckhand Oyster Bar is moving into a new address, as reported by Community Impact. It will leave 500 Parker Drive for 701 West Louis Henna Boulevard at some point this year. The South Lamar location will remain open.

New Ghost Kitchen Burger Restaurant
Southwest restaurant chain Z’Tejas opened a ghost kitchen burger restaurant within its 1110 West Sixth Street space over Memorial Day weekend. Woo Woo Burgers’s menu — full of, well, burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings, and non-alcoholic drinks — is available for pickup orders and third-party deliveries. The restaurant, which opened on May 28, is donating ten percent of its total sales to nonprofit Special Olympics Texas. Woo Woo also opened a location in Phoenix, Arizona at the same time.

Ice Cream and Cookie Pride Special
For Pride, Austin-based food businesses Lick Honest Ice Creams and Wunderkeks teamed up to offer two dessert specials for the month. First, there’s the strawberry lemonade rainbow ice cream flavor, consisting of lemon sweet cream ice cream, a strawberry swirl, and bits of cookie. Then there’s the Pride Fundae sundae kit available for national shipping through Goldbelly. That comes with three pints of ice cream, including that special flavor, as well as five toppings, including Wunderkerks’s rainbow crunch. The ice cream flavor is available at all locations of Lick in Austin and San Antonio by the scoop and pint through Wednesday, June 30. The kit is available for online ordering as of now.
