Mooby’s, the fictional fast food restaurant from the iconic Kevin Smith movies Clerks, Dogma, and others, is making an IRL appearance in downtown Austin soon. Mooby’s will open for pickup and dine-in at 310 W. Willie Nelson Boulevard, at 3TEN ACL Live, from May 5 to May 10. Preorders go on sale tomorrow, April 21, at 11 a.m.

Each Mooby’s pre-order will come with a Moo Main (choice of buger, vegan burger, chicken sandwich, or vegan brat from Austin’s Wholly Cow Burgers) and a Salt Lick Side (“Hater Totz” or “Onion Rings to Rule Them All” — note that these sides are unrelated to Driftwood barbecue spot Salt Lick). Vegan options are available as Smith notoriously became vegan after a serious heart attack in 2018.

There are also add-ons like cookies and chocolate-covered pretzels. To drink, there are cocktails including a New Jersey Quickstop cocktail and Jungle Juice as well as a limited-edition Mooby’s beer from Independence Brewing Co., available to drink on-site or take away in six-packs. The pop-up will also have several photo ops and Mooby’s merch.

Mooby’s, which parodies fast-food companies like McDonald’s and Burger King in Smith’s movies, started as a pop-up in Los Angeles last April and has moved around the country since then.

Mooby’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with reservations available for up to four people.
