A new members-only dog park and cafe called Neighbors is coming to South Austin in April. Neighbors will open at 5609 South Congress on Thursday, April 15.

The cafe portion of neighbors will serve coffee, baked goods, cheese and veggie boards from Casero, and tea and pastries from the Steeping Room. The cafe is also sourcing baked goods from women- and minority-owned businesses. Peruvian food truck Killa Wasi posted to Instagram it would be working in partnership with Neighbors soon.

The spacious property will include an outdoor covered seating and dining area, and will obviously be dog-friendly with a fully staffed off-leash dog park.

Neighbors is owned by Kati Luedecke, who also owns Killa Wasi, and Lamar Bowman, owner of Klock-n Fitness and private dog trainer. The pair plan to offer dog training classes, doggie daycare, dog yoga, and other neighborhood activities. There is already a second location of Neighbors in the works somewhere in East Austin.

Membership to Neighbors ranges from $8 day passes to $250 for an annual membership. There are discounted memberships available on the Neighbors Kickstarter campaign.
