Future Austin FC fans will be able to enjoy games with a pint thanks to a new beer hall going into the forthcoming soccer stadium, expected to open in spring of 2021 in the North Burnet area. The beer hall will be open to ticketed guests before, during, and after games.

The soccer stadium beer hall will operate like a standard sports bar, with 18 beers on tap and many television screens. No word yet on if food will be available within the beer hall, or what kinds of beers or other drinks will be available.

The stadium, which will be home to Austin’s first major league sports team, broke ground in September 2019. When completed, it will have 20,500 seats and a large roof canopy so that nearly every seat is in the shade (a smart measure for Texas teams).

While three other teams in this new expansion of MLS teams have delayed their stadium opening by a year, Austin’s is still on track to open in 2021 for now. Austin FC also recently signed its first player: 20-year-old Rodney Redes from Paraguay.
