Favorite Central East Austin bar Nickel City is back in action again: this time, it’s opening up a temporary frozen daiquiri shop. The Daiq Shack will sell frozen cocktails, as well as food from on-site truck Delray Cafe, for pickups and deliveries from 1133 East 11th Street starting today, Tuesday, May 5.

There are five drink options, consisting of flavored frozen non-alcoholic bases and 50-milliliter bottles of booze. The bar’s signature frozen Irish coffee is on deck, as well as a take on the pina colada, among others. The bar is also offering up select cocktails, such as highballs, Spanish gin and tonics, and palomas.

Since the purchase of food is still required for all legal-for-now to-go and delivery alcohol sales, the bar is offering a select array of items from Delray, including the slider, chicken wings, chili dogs, and cheese curds. Scope out the full menus below.

People will be able to place advanced orders online for pickups and deliveries, and in-person orders can be placed as well. Pickups are located at the food truck. The Daiq Shack’s hours are from noon to 10 p.m. daily through the month of May.
