Following fellow Austin hospitality group New Waterloo’s lead, another one of the city’s major restaurant company McGuire Moorman Hospitality announced that it is closing all 15 of its restaurants and bars as of today, Monday, March 16, until further notice, amid the global novel coronavirus pandemic. This includes:
- Downtown barbecue restaurant Lamberts (which had previously announced it was limiting its service to dinner only just as of this weekend)
- South Austin seafood restaurant Perla’s
- South Austin Vietnamese restaurant and French bakery Elizabeth Street Cafe
- Clarksville seafood restaurant Clark’s (as well as the location in Aspen, Colorado)
- Clarksville all-day restaurant Josephine House
- Clarksville fine dining destination Jeffrey’s
- South Austin wine restaurant June’s
- West Austin burger joint and tiki bar Pool Burger
- South Congress Austin Motel restaurant Joann’s Fine Foods
- East Austin restaurant Lou’s
- Clarksville deli and bakery Swedish Hill
- Downtown hotel restaurant The Peacock at the Austin Proper
- Downtown hotel cafe The Mockingbird at the Austin Proper
- Downtown cocktail bar Goldie’s at the Austin Proper
- Downtown poolside restaurant La Piscina at Austin Proper (which actually opened last week)
Several of these restaurants added curbside pickups this week.
