Pie Bakery Expansion
Austin bakery Tiny Pies is expanding with its third location in West Lake Hills at 3736 Bee Caves Road, Suite 8, starting sometime in May. The pie shop will share its address with smoothie and açaí bowl chain Blenders & Bowls, which is already open. Tiny Pies will have its own counter, though, but the two businesses will share seating. The bakery’s menu will remain the same: small pies, sweet and savory, and quiches. Its hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily when it opens. Ahead of the opening date, it will host pop-up sales at the space, with the first being held on Saturday, March 14 (aka Pi Day).
New Pizza Opening
Jersey-style pizzeria Saccone’s, which is currently open in Leander, but closed in its Anderson Mill-adjacent restaurant last March, is reopening in Anderson Mill this Saturday, as reported by Austin 360. It’ll be found at 13776 North US Highway 183, Suite 131 starting on Saturday, February 29.
Wine Dinner
Butcher shop/restaurant Salt & Time is hosting a wine dinner with California winery Wrath on Tuesday, March 3, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.. The four-course meal will feature dishes like Denver steak, tagliatelle with bone marrow, and pecorino romano with honeycomb toffee. Tickets are $75.
Voting Discount
Brentwood restaurant Barley Swine is offering a $30 discounted tasting menu to anyone who brings in their “I Voted” stickers on Tuesday, March 3 (aka Primary Election Day).
