Parasite’s Ram-Don Is Back in Austin
In honor of South Korea’s first-ever best picture win for director Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite at the Oscars this past weekend, Southern-Asian restaurant Peached Tortilla is bringing back its noodle special. The ram-don dish (which is actually jjappaguri, a mix of instant black bean ramen and seafood udon noodles) will include hanger steak, black bean paste, and caramelized kimchi. It’s available only tonight, Thursday, February 13, at the Allandale restaurant as part of its weekly ramen night.

Cult-Favorite New York Ice Cream Comes to Texas
Brooklyn-based ice cream shop Van Leeuwen is making its beloved pints available in Texas for the first time ever. This includes its house flavors such as the Brooklyn brown sugar chunk and honeycomb, the vegan lineup like a vegan cookie crumble, and ones made with oat milk. The pints will be available at H-E-B (as of now), Central Market (sometime this month), and Sprouts Farmers Market (in March).

Rachael Ray’s Austin
Austin obsessive Rachael Ray shared her guide to all-things Austin, presumably ahead of South by Southwest season when everyone and their mothers will drop city recommendations, on her website this month. The list includes the usual restaurant suspects (Franklin Barbecue, Elizabeth Street Cafe, Kemuri Tatsu-ya, etc.), among shops, hotels, and music venues.
