There’s a new fast-casual wagyu burger restaurant up in North Shoal Creek, courtesy of the teams behind South Austin spot Lucky Robot Japanese Kitchen and mini-chain Zen Japanese Food Fast. Luck’s Wagyu Burger Shoppe made its debut within Zen’s 2900 West Anderson Lane, Suite 250 address on November 10. There’s dine-in, curbside pickup, and delivery services.
Luck’s menu, from Lucky Robot executive chef Jay Huang, focuses on Asian-inspired burgers and sandwiches. The Tokyo BBQ is paired with cheddar cheese, tempura onion rings, a Japanese barbecue sauce, and miso-mustard. There’s a separate katsu sandwich section — including a wagyu one — where the panko-fried patties are paired with tonkatsu ketchup.
The wagyu patties are sourced from Floresville, Texas-based Peeler Farms, with the buns from Clarksville bakery Swedish Hill. For non-burger options, Luck’s has chicken and vegetarian varieties, including vegan Beyond Burger patties, as well as home fries and asian-slaw.
Takeout orders for Luck’s can be placed online or in person; deliveries are made through Uber Eats. Zen is also open for dine-in, curbside pickups, and deliveries.
Luck’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and then from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
