Veracruz All Natural Is Rolling New Taco and Juice Trucks Into East Austin

Austin’s best taco slinger Veracruz All Natural is opening its latest truck next month at 2505 Webberville Road in East Austin, ahead of its forthcoming physical restaurant to be found at the same address. While originally, the new truck was slated to open on Friday, February 21, its opening has been delayed to Friday, March 6, with limited service.

The Webberville address will actually be home to two Veracruz trucks, within the lot next to stellar cafe Fleet Coffee. First, there’s the food truck, which will serve up the same menu as its North Shoal Creek restaurant. This means breakfast tacos (yes, including that migas), tacos like barbacoa and fish, open-faced tacos, tostadas, and plated meals.

Then there will be a dedicated drinks truck dubbed Veracruz Juice Bar. That menu will include agua frescas, juices, smoothies, as well as snacks.

Once open, the hours for both Veracruz trucks will be from 7 a.m. to midnight. Joining Veracruz’s trucks is also sweets truck Churro Co., which is already open at the Webberville address.

While original East Cesar Chavez truck planned on staying open through the end of South by Southwest, it is now closed as of Sunday, March 8 since the festival is canceled. The truck left the East Cesar Chavez location because its lease is coming to an end. This truck will relocate to Webberville Road, where it will function as a take-out truck.

Veracruz’s upcoming restaurant will be found on 2501 and 2505 Webberville Road, opening sometime this year. Co-owners Reyna and Maritza Vazquez had always wanted to open a physical Veracruz restaurant in East Austin since 2014 but wanted to make sure that they owned the property.

The sisters started Veracruz in 2008, and now operate several trucks and restaurants in Austin and Round Rock.
