Snooze, the brunch-obsessed restaurant chain based in Colorado, is opening its third Austin restaurant on the east side. The new location is debuting on Wednesday, September 25 at 1109 East 5th Street, marking it as the first restaurant to open in the Plaza Saltillo development.

Much like the brunch chain’s other restaurants, the menu features the same mixture of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes. This means all sorts of pancakes (traditional and whimsical like chocolate chip and pineapple upside down), egg-based dishes (omelettes, scrambles, huevos rancheros, breakfast tacos, and a dedicated Benedict section), French toast, sandwiches, and even a breakfast pot pie. Then there’s cocktails (margaritas, bloody marys, mimosas), coffee, and tea.

The East Austin location, similar to the others, also features indoor and outdoor seating. The general manager is Minda D’Souza. Its hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.

Snooze opened its first Texas location on South Lamar in May 2016, quickly followed by the Rosedale one in the following month. The Plaza Saltillo location was announced back in 2017. Other Plaza Saltillo restaurant neighbors will include JuiceLand (which also should be opening soon), Japanese barbecue chain Gyu-Kaku, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Dolce Neve, and numerous others.
