Daijoubu Pop-Up
Two Austin bartenders Caer Maiko and Sharon Yeung bring Asian cocktail pop-up Daijoubu back to Austin this fall. On October 5 and 6, they will be stationed at the Eleanor. The duo wants to use their cocktail pop-up as a way of highlighting and being creative with those taste profiles and drinks.

Collaborative Beers for Hurricane Dorian Fundraiser
This Saturday and Sunday, September 21 - 22, downtown brewery Central District Brewing will be offering four specialty brews made in collaboration with Emmer & Rye, Suerte, and the Brewer’s Table to benefit Hurricane Dorian relief. Central District Brewing made a stout that serves as a base for the other beers; Emmer & Rye’s adds carrot, lemongrass, and ginger; Suerte’s adds mole; and the Brewer’s Table’s adds fermented Texas mesquite bean to mimic amazake (a sweet Japanese low-alcohol drink). A dollar of each sale going to the nonprofit Mercy Chefs, which serves meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders in national emergencies and natural disasters.
