Longtime North Campus Pizza Spot Closes
After 13 years, the Salvation Pizza at 624 West 34th Street has closed. This was the original location for the New Haven-style pizzeria, though its locations in Rock Rose and on Rainey Street remain open. This is the third pizzeria to close this month, following a location of East Side Pies and The Connection at the Lamar Union.

La Condesa Sobremesa Dinner
Downtown Mexican restaurant La Condesa is hosting the first of a collaborative pop-up dinner series on Tuesday, September 17, with a menu that includes soft shell crab tacos and a chocolate tamal. For the first dinner, Chef Rick Lopez will cook with chefs Aaron Bludorn, of Café Boulud in New York and The Final Table on Netflix, and Drake Leonards, of Eunice in Houston, which is part of BRG (where accused sexual harasser John Besh has a financial tie). Reservations recommended.

Snap Kitchen Partners with Whole Foods
Two Austin originals are teaming up to serve healthy foods. All six Whole Foods stores around Austin now offers prepared meals from Snap Kitchen. The lineup will include 35 breakfast, lunch/dinner and beverage options. Snap Kitchen currently has 33 stores across Texas and Philadelphia, and provides shipping to several other cities.

Update, 3:39 p.m.: This article has been updated to clarify Josh Besh’s ties to BRG.
