Beer Party CBD Chicken WIngs
As part of the party celebrating the new Japanese rice lager beer (Icy Boys) from food truck Spicy Boys and East Austin brewery Zilker Brewing Co., the former is cooking up one-off brunch dishes for the occasion. This includes CBD chicken wings made with oil from Restart, chicken and biscuits, and micheladas garnished with chicken wings. It takes place on Saturday, August 10 from noon to 8 p.m.

Barbecue Truck Summer Vacation
East Austin barbecue truck Kerlin BBQ is taking its summer break starting on Monday, August 12 through Thursday, August 29. It’ll reopen on Friday, August 30.

New Austin Hard Seltzer
Boozy seltzer is a thing now — hello, White Claw — and South Austin brewery St. Elmo is now making its own version. The spiked seltzer, called Ripple, comes in two flavors: citrus (with lemon and lime), and tropical (with mango, guava, and passionfruit). The name stems from the Grateful Dead song. The flavors will change seasonally. It’s available at the St. Elmo taproom as well as to-go crowlers.

Thai and Laotian Food in East Austin
Thai and Laotian food truck Talād has found a permanent home. It’ll be parked at the 1606 East food trailer park at — what else — 1606 East Sixth Street. It made its debut last month at Circle Brewing Company with the original intention to roam around the city. Dishes include moo ping, chicken dumplings, and fried chicken.
