Bao Opening
Fast-casual Chinese restaurant Bao’d Up opened up its second location in West Campus on Rio Grande Street in mid-June. The menu remains the same: various bao filled with savory or sweet ingredients, from barbecue pork to sausage/cheese to red beans, as well as Taiwanese hamburgers, snacks like Sichuan fries and fried bao stocks, and rice bowls. Next up is its Sunset Valley location on Brodie Lane.

Barbecue Bracket Winner
The winner of Texas Monthly’s barbecue bracket, which was selected by readers, is Snow’s BBQ out in Lexington. The final round pit the #1 Texas Monthly barbecue joint (editorially speaking) against Brett’s Backyard Bar-B-Que in Rockdale.

They recently held their second pop-up at Nickel City.
