Asian Cocktail Pop-Up
Daijoubu, the Asian cocktail pop-up run by the Roosevelt Room’s Caer Maiko and Sharon Yeung, is coming back this weekend. It’s taking place at Central East Austin bar Nickel City’s pop-up area, aka Cash Only, which means it will be cash-only. The money raised will go towards funding the pop-ups eventual tour of Texas. It runs on Sunday, June 30 from 7 to 11 p.m., and Monday, July 1 starting at 7 p.m. until everything is sold out. On deck will be mostly $10 cocktails like the General Tso’s Perfect Manhattan, made with chili oil from Chinese restaurant Wu Chow and a General Tso-spiced vermouth; Tapioca Express with boba pearls infused with rose liqueur; and the Ramon’s Onsen where tom kha broth comes with a side of blistered shisito peppers infused with tequila. The duo are also making dollar snacks too, Yeung overseeing the tea eggs and Maiko the miniature rice balls. Sales from that will go towards the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance on Sunday, and Liberty in North Korea on Monday. Scope out the full menu below.

Bird Bird Biscuit’s Birthday Dough Doughs
In honor of Bird Bird Biscuit’s first birthday, the biscuit sandwich shop is making birthday cake dough doughs (its version of doughnut holes made with biscuit dough) starting today through Sunday. The restaurant is also hosting a raffle of ten $100 gift certificates.

Food Truck’s Temporary Closure
Brentwood food truck Three Little Pigs is currently temporarily closed. It started on Thursday, June 27, and will remain closed through Thursday, July 4.
