Stuffed-waffle truck Ooga Booga Waffles has moved into a food truck park in north Austin. The truck is now serving at 5000 Burnet Road in the Rosedale neighborhood.

Ooga Booga serves a seasonal menu of giant sweet and savory stuffed-waffles, available whole or as quarter slices. Current savory stuffed waffles tend towards the breakfast side, filled with bacon, eggs, and cheese; sausage and tomato; and a “waffle relleno” of poblano pepper and cheese in a gluten-free masa waffle. On the sweet side, there are cinnamon roll waffles and a German chocolate waffle.

Ooga Booga started as a pop-up at east side bar Kitty Cohen’s. Behind the truck are Samara Green, Lizzy Markman, Micah Green, and Logal Trussell. The team opened the food truck officially on Friday May 3. They’re hosting an opening party with special dishes and drinks on Saturday, June 22.

The truck is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, with hours until 9 p.m. on Friday. Then it’s open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
