Rosedale French-Louisiana restaurant Epicerie opened its new cafe at the Contemporary Austin’s alfresco sculpture park Laguna Gloria from chef/owner Sarah McIntosh at 3809 West 35th Street in Tarrytown this week as of Monday, May 6.
Epicerie at the Contemporary will serve a more limited version of the restaurant’s full menu. There are appetizers like tomato soup and cheese plates, salads, sandwiches like the muffaletta and grilled cheese, bigger entrees like quiche, and desserts. There’s also a kids’ menu too. Scope out the full offerings below.
The walk-up window of the Epicerie cafe is found at the entrance of the Laguna Gloria. There are two shaded terraces right by the restaurant for dining purposes, or guests can take their meals elsewhere into the park. Its hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
The new Epicerie is part of the Contemporary’s major renovation. McIntosh, who had wanted to expand with a second location, opened the original restaurant on Hancock Drive in 2013.
