Oh-so-popular bakery Milk Bar, known for its nostalgic sweets like cereal milk ice cream and cookies packed with potato chips and pretzels, is popping up throughout Austin this week with its ice cream truck.
The truck was already here for Aaron Franklin’s Memorial Day weekend food and music festival Hot Luck, so founder Christina Tosi thought it made sense to keep the truck around for a bit longer. She has been talking about opening a potential Austin location for a while, so this might also work as location research as well.
Milk Bar’s truck will feature that famous cereal milk soft-serve topped with cornflake crunch. It will be accompanied by a bar selling the signature Milk Bar Pie, cake truffles, cookies (including the compost and confetti ones), plus more.
The truck will be parked at various locations like the South Congress Hotel, Franklin Barbecue, and forthcoming Holly vegan ice cream shop Gati from Tuesday, May 28 through Sunday, June 2. Scope out the full schedule below.
