San Antonio on Ariana Grande watch

Mega pop star Ariana Grande performed at San Antonio’s AT&T Center on Friday, May 17, but the big news for many fans was where she was spotted around town. Tweets claimed that the singer visited San Antonio restaurant Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, while others, like Burger Boy and Fred’s Fish Fry, jumped on the bandwagon to joke that Grande visited them as well.

Former Uchi chefs get into catering

Former Uchi chefs Emily and Michael Castillo announced their latest ventures, catering company Callisto Culinary and event space/guest house Twin Oaks Ranch in Hallettsville. The Castillos will cater to the guests at Twin Oaks Ranch, as well as off site, like a regular brunch at Majek Vineyard and Winery in Moravia every first Sunday.

Moontower Saloon hosts Dos Equis fashion show

Comedian Ben Schwartz (of NBC’s Parks and Rec) will host a runway on Thursday, May 23, at Moontower Saloon. The fashion show will feature Dos Equis-branded items such as “exaggerated, over-the-top fashion essentials like a towel jacket (or beach blazer, if you prefer) and fanny fridge – a fanny pack that holds an entire six pack of Dos Equis beers.”
