Comedian Patton Oswalt was in Austin recently, and he dined at both local diner Counter Cafe and Japanese-Texas izakaya Kemuri Tatsu-ya. Of the latter, he wrote that he experienced a “tastebud ragnarok” and “flavor whiplash,” saying that the restaurant is “at David Chang levels.” It looked like he had the ramen, Tokyo street corn, some smoked meats, and the matcha pain killer cocktail.
