Kolache Brewery Update
Last year, Eater already reported that Batch Craft Beer and Kolaches is looking to open its own brewery right next door to the kolache shop and beer bar in Mueller. Now co-owners Noah and Josh Lit launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $10,000 for the build-out by Wednesday, May 15. The brewery is pegged to start brewing in early May, under head brewers John Snyder and Heath Shuford (the latter overlooking the IPA program) with an opening date sometime in June. The first beers will be the cabaret barrel aged saison made with honey and pink peppercorns, and the Hazy IPA. On deck will be draft, can, and bottled beers only available at the brewery.

Buc-ee’s Outside of Texas
Texas Monthly visited Buc-ee’s outside-of-Texas location in Alabama to see if the favorite Lone Star road trip mainstay translates outside of the state. The answer? Basically the same, except with a small section dedicated to Alabama college sports merchandise.
