East Austin brewery Hops & Grain opened its San Marcos brewery and taproom this week at 110 East MLK Drive, Suite 130. It’s currently operating with limited hours from Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March 14 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m..

Hops CEO and founder Josh Hare wanted to open a second facility to double its brewing capabilities. He raised money for the San Marcos building through crowdfunding investment site Wefunder, where he received $1,000,000 before he even had a specific address.

The San Marcos brewery is entirely powered by wind energy. It’s located right near neat Texas State University in the same address as the casual restaurant from Austin industry people, Industry. The space was designed by Edgeworks Design & Woodwork.

After Hops & Grain’s limited hours are over, its full San Marcos hours will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Hare opened Hops & Grain in 2011 in East Austin, and added the taproom in 2014.
