Turns out Veracruz All Natural will be able to stay in its original food truck home on 1704 East Cesar Chavez Street. It will remain there for the rest of the year.
“We believe this is due to all the love and support that you all showed in reaction to our post,” noted Veracruz’s Instagram post. They also thanked their landlord “for being willing to extend our East Cesar Chavez contract.”
After the year is up, Veracruz will look for another permanent home somewhere in East Austin.
Originally, Veracruz received a notice stating that it had to move out of its food truck location within 30 days, which had meant by the end of March. Next-door neighborhood barbecue and kolache and klobasnek truck Kerlin’s BBQ received the same vacancy notice and originally had to move as well.
Veracruz owners and sisters Reyna and Maritza Vazquez opened the first food truck back in 2008. They now run three taco trucks and two restaurants in total.
