Food and Alcohol Deliveries
A potential new bill would allow for restaurants to sell and deliver alcoholic drinks along with food. The bill would require that the drinks be served in a “sealed [...] original, single-serving container,” according to the Statesman. This would apply to beer, wine, and mixed drinks, along with food orders. The bill, put forth by State Representative John Kuempel and backed by the Texas Restaurant Association, is being presented at the current Texas Legislative Session.

Lighter Lone Star Beer
Lone Stars are Texans’ go-to cheap beers and now the Texas-based brewery is adding a new lower alcohol-by-volume (ABV) option. The Lone Star 24|7, now available, comes in gold cans and bottles.

Taco Expansion Into Arkansas
Austin-based restaurant chain Torchy’s Tacos is opening a new location out in Arkansas. The new restaurant is set to open in Fayetteville sometime this year. To help with its continuing expansions, the company hired former Dunkin’ Donuts chief digital officer Scott Hudler as its new chief marketing officer.
