Texans Are Looking to Make Tacos the Official State Dish

Tacos as the Texas State Dish
Taco journalist Mando Rayo is a mission to displace chili as the official state dish of Texas with tacos, naturally. After a failed attempt last year, he and state representative Gina Hinojosa presented the new proposal in front of the current Texas State Legislature. The proposal cites that “Texans consume a lot of tacos” throughout the state and that other dishes “are that much better when served in the warm embrace of a tortilla.”

New JuiceLand in North Austin
Austin juice shop JuiceLand is opening its newest location up in the Domain Northside as of today, Friday, February 22. The debut on 3120 Palm Way, Suite 114 comes with juice and food samples and party activities, like face painting and temporary tattoos for children. This is its 30th location.

Coffee Bar Honoree
Austin-based robotic coffee bar Briggo was named as one of magazine Fast Company’s most innovative companies of the year in the robotics section. The company is available in plenty of private offices, as well as two public-facing bars at the Austin airport and Austin Convention Center.
