Austin’s growing chain Hopdoddy Burger Bar is expanding with an entirely new restaurant though with the same burger focus. It’s opening Lil’doddy Burgers and Beer on 4625 West William Cannon Drive in Oak Hill today on Monday, April 15 at 4 p.m.

The new restaurant is meant to be a more “streamlined” version of Hopdoddy, served at a faster pace, according to a staffer, but not to the degree of fast-food. This means a simpler menu centered on a five-ounce patty served with various ingredients, as well as a grilled chicken breast option and the vegan Impossible Burger patty, chicken tenders, fries with 110-minute eggs, and salads. Scope out the full menu below.

There will be beer and alcoholic drinks, as seen with the name and a recent Poached listing looking for servers, cashiers, and bartenders. Expect beers (obviously), batched cocktails, and margaritas.

The name “Lil’doddy” is Hopdoddy’s former burger item involving a beef patty or two, American cheese, pickles, onions, mustard, and ketchup. (The term is also the burger chain’s cutesy nickname for children.)

Lil’doddy’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Hopdoddy is also opening an East Austin location within the Plaza Saltillo sometime in late 2019. The original restaurant opened on South Congress in 2010 and expanded with locations across the country.

This article has been updated to reflect the correct address for Lil’doddy, the new opening date, and menu details.
