Paperboy, the beloved breakfast food truck, is opening its very own restaurant. The brick-and-mortar will be found at its original trailer location at 1203 East 11th Street in Central East Austin sometime in the fall.

The restaurant will allow Paperboy chef Patrick Jackson to expand its breakfast- and brunch-oriented menus. There will be weekday lunch service, as well as newer items like breakfast hand pies and quiches. Plus there will be more coffee options like espresso and other drinks.

The Paperboy restaurant space, being designed by Chioco Design, will feature a rooftop patio and garden, plus indoor and outdoor seating. There will be a to-go window as well.

Construction on the new restaurant is set to begin this month. Ahead of that, the food truck will relocate to 1110 East 12th Street sometime next week.

Paperboy first opened in November 2015 by owner Ryan Harms and then-chef Zechariah Perez. It expanded with a second trailer at Radio Coffee & Beer in South Austin in June 2017. Perez left in March 2018 to go back to his Bryce Gilmore roots with its new restaurant Sour Duck Market.

This article has been updated to reflect that Paperboy’s original trailer will remain open but in a new location during the restaurant construction.
