Stiles Switch’s 12 Days of Smoked Meats Continue with Tomahawk Rib-Eyes

Brentwood barbecue restaurant Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew’s annual 12 Days of Smoked Meats is already underway. To come are smoked tomahawk rib-eyes tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16 (in conjunction with the restaurant’s eighth anniversary); chopped beef and spicy sausage biscuit sandwiches in collaboration with Southern restaurant Olamaie on Thursday, December 19; and pulled pork tortas with modern Mexican restaurant Comedor; among others.

Uchi’s Wine Collaboration
Japanese restaurant Uchi now has its very own wine, in collaboration with California winery Stolpman Vineyards. The result is the Uni, an unfiltered blend of roussanne and chardonnay grapes, meant to be paired with, well, raw fish. The wine is available by the glass and by the bottle at all locations of Uchi and sibling restaurant Uchiko.

Austin Soccer Stadium Updates
The city’s first Major League Soccer stadium for the Austin FC team is set to open in 2021 at 10414 McKalla Place in North Burnet. The sports team announced its food and beverage partner, Levy, which will select the stadium’s vendors. “Levy will work closely with the Austin food and beverage community to identify a variety of stadium options which will reflect Austin FC’s desire to develop an Austin-inspired menu,” according to a statement. Levy has worked on projects like the BBVA Stadium in Houston, the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and others.
