Plank Seafood Provisions, a sibling restaurant of Rainey Street’s “Tex-Asian pub” Anthem, is opening in the Domain next year. Plank will move into 11410 Century Oak Terrace sometime around March 2020, according to the Domain website, taking over the former space of Sur La Table, between retail store Altar’d State and The Yard Milkshake Bar.

This is the second location of the Omaha-based restaurant. Plank’s Austin menu will likely be similar, with an oyster bar, grilled and fried seafood, gumbo, lobster rolls, and a few non-seafood options like chicken tenders. Cocktails are also likely on deck.

Plank comes from Flagship Restaurant Group, which is also based in Omaha (though one of the group’s owners, Anthony Hitchcock, is from Austin). The group owns several restaurants throughout the midwest, Texas, and Colorado, including Blue Sake Sushi Grill, Roja Mexican Grill, and Blatt Beer & Table. Anthem was the group’s first foray into Austin, and is the only location of that restaurant.
