Baked and Boozy, the Austin bakery that whips up sweet pies full of liquor, is now open and serving in Austin as of Monday, October 7. It’ll be found inside of all locations of Royal Blue Grocery, with the main shop at 609 Congress Avenue in downtown Austin.
Baked and Boozy’s initial fall pie lineup includes the Mexican hot chocolate topped with tequila whipped cream, coconut cream topped with Skyy pineapple vodka whipped cream, and margarita key lime made with Cointreau triple-sec and Exotico tequila in a coconut crust.
While Baked’s flavors will change often, there will be a mainstay pie In honor of its new home. The Royal Blue will feature blueberries, pomegranate, and limoncello, with a basil whipped cream.
The by-the-slice pies will be available from 7 a.m. to midnight. Whole pies will be available through preorders via its Facebook page, until the website is fully functioning.
Owner and baker Lacey Pearce started Baked and Boozy in 2017 at her home after she asked if anyone on Nextdoor was interested in buying bourbon pecan pies for Thanksgiving. Demand grew for her boozy pies, and she expanded her pie options. The owners of Royal Blue Grocery reached out to her after her television segment for Studio 512 and feature in the Pecan Press.
