Glossier, the highly coveted skincare and makeup brand, is coming to Austin for the first time, albeit temporary, with a retail store opening this week, with local ice cream truck Connor’s Creamery on deck, as reported by Austin Monthly. The pop-up will be found on 2000 South Congress Avenue (aka next to Magnolia Cafe) in the Bouldin neighborhood starting on Wednesday, October 23.
Connor’s, which is helmed by owner Heidi Garbo of Austin seafood restaurant Garbo’s Lobster, will be found in the front area of the building. Flavors will include vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry swirl with pink sprinkles (a nod to Glossier’s color theme), as Garbo told Eater. The pop-up space will feature a patio with seating too.
Glossier’s pop-up will allow people to try and buy the company’s popular and new products — Balm Dotcom, Cloud Paint blush, Boy Brow pomade, Lidstar eye shadow, etc. The shop will also sell a special mug, which will benefit RAICES.
The pop-up will run through Sunday, December 8. Its hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Garbo started the soft serve truck in 2016, named after her son.
