Anticipated fall vegan cheese restaurant and wine shop Rebel Cheese is opening at 2200 Aldrich Street, Suite 120 in the Mueller neighborhood starting on Sunday, October 27.

Rebel Cheese focuses on all things vegan. Of the vegan cheeses, there are brie, mozzarella, blue cheese, cheddar, parmesan, etc. Then there are vegan meats, like tofu eggs, carrot lox, and iterations of bacon, pepperoni, and corned beef. The fake cheese and meats will be available a la carte, as well as within sandwiches, salads, soups, and boards.

Along with the vegan food, there will be wine, beer, and coffee (with vegan milks of course) as well.

Owners Kirsten Maitland and Fred Zwar wanted to open the cafe as a way to present their “passion for planetary change” through showcasing the possibilities of vegan food products.

Rebel Cheese’s hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the weekends.
