The couple behind Round Rock’s Fuego Latino Gastropub will make their Food Network debut on the competition show Guy Fieri’s Grocery Games next month, as reported by Community Impact. The episode featuring Jorge and Aracely Alcocer is set to air on Wednesday, February 13.
The episode is titled “Cookin’ Couples,” where the the challenge was to shop and cook a wedding dinner in 30 minutes. The couple flew to California for the filming, and Jorge told Community Impact the show’s on-set grocery store Flavortown Market is “unbelievable,” and the size of an H-E-B. Aracely said that meeting Guy Fieri was “surreal” and that it was “so fun to meet him.”
The couple opened Fuego Latino at 206 North Mays Street in fall of 2017, the culmination of Jorge’s long career at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. The couple plan to host a watch party for the episode.
The show’s enigmatic spiky-haired host has also been making his way around Austin lately while shooting his new series Triple D Nation, stopping by Home Slice Pizza and Noble Sandwich Co. as well as other unconfirmed sightings.
