Austin City Limits Music Festival Adds Tacodeli Tacos to the Food Lineup

The city’s biggest music festival, Austin City Limits, is back again next month. For two October weekends, people will flock to Zilker Park to see headlining musicians and bands like Paul McCartney, Childish Gambino, Metallica, and Chvrches. To fuel up for all of that dancing, standing, and swaying, the festival released its complete food vendor list, with an almost entirely Austin focus, for both weekends.

New to the ACL Music Festival’s food lineup this year are Tacodeli with tacos (which is interesting given the presence of Austin’s other homegrown taco chain Torchy’s too); Frank, known for its hot dogs, sausages, and waffles; essential sandwich restaurant the Noble Sandwich Co., healthy options from Blenders & Bowls, and fried chicken sandwiches from Flyrite Chicken.

Surprisingly, Austin’s favorite local burger chain P. Terry’s isn’t returning, leaving Wholly Burgers and out-of-town-based Shake Shack as the festival’s burger chain options (an ACL rep noted that Lonesome Dove will serve burgers as well) . Neither are last year’s newcomers Austin’s Popcorn and Peli Peli.

That second food court found near the southern end of Zilker Park, which was added last year, will remain. Check out the full list of ACL food vendors below, with newcomers noted with an asterisk (*).

ACL Music Festival takes place from Friday, October 5 to Sunday, October 7, and then again from Friday, October 12 to Sunday, October 14. Look out for Eater’s updated guide to eating and drinking at the festival sometime later this month.
