Global holiday pop-up bar Miracle is bringing the first-time tiki version of the festive booze event to Austin, landing at central east Austin bar Nickel City, with drinks designed by tiki expert Jeff Berry. The Sippin’ Santa will run from Friday, November 23 through Monday, December 31 at 1133 East 11th Street.
The lineup of drinks with very punny holiday names include the Kris Kringle Colada with dark rum, cynar, pineapple juice, and coconut dream; the Hawaiian Milk Punch with bourbon cream, and chai syrup; and the Grinch Grog made with tequila and whatever grinch syrup entails. Check out the full cocktail list below.
Cocktail legend Brother Cleve is going to stop by the bar for a one-time special Sippin’ Santa-themed pop-up at its Cash Only bar, where all proceeds will go towards an unnamed-as-of-yet charity.
The Miracle pop-up is making its Austin return for the second year at Eleanor, the next-door sister bar to essential cocktail bar the Roosevelt. The Sippin’ Santa will also take place at other bars across the country, include Berry’s own tiki bar in New Orleans, Latitude 29.
Founder Greg Boehm is a noted New York bar investor, originated the holiday pop-up during the construction of Mace in Manhattan, since he had the space anyway.
