Chi’lantro, the Korean-Mexican restaurant mini-chain, is opening its Mueller restaurant next week. The seventh location will open on Monday, September 17 at 1201 Barbara Jordan Boulevard.

Much like the other restaurant menus, the Mueller Chi’lantro will serve those lauded kimchi fries, Korean fried chicken wings, burgers, tacos, and and customizable rice, noodle, and salads bowls.

The Mueller Chi’lantro’s hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. As an opening special, it will offer 20 percent off all meals from Monday, September 17 through Sunday, September 23 only at the Barbara Jordan Boulevard restaurant.

Founder and owner Jae Kim isn’t sitting still either. He’s already working on two new restaurant locations, but he declined to share those exact addresses.

Relatedly, Kim finally won a round of investment money during his third appearance on reality television competition Shark Tank in 2016. He’s aiming to use that money to bring Chi’lantro into Houston and Dallas, though there are no further updates on those expansions.

Chi’lantro has four other brick-and-mortars across Austin, as well as two permanent food trucks on Congress Avenue and the relatively recent one on East 6th Street, which took over Via 313’s spot at Violet Crown Social Club. Kim began Chi’lantro in 2010 as a food truck.
