Nekter, a Southern California-based juice bar chain, is expanding into Austin. Slated to open late fall, Nekter will be moving in to 3637 Far West Boulevard within a shopping center in Northwest Hills Village.
Nekter will keep the same menu as other locations, serving a variety of juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and healthy snacks like berry chia parfaits. Certain stores, including the new location in Austin, will also serve vegan ice cream called “skoop,” made with cashew milk. Nekter also features grab-and-go options and juice cleanse packages. The Austin location of the franchise is owned by Vincent Mai.
Nekter opened its first location in Santa Ana in Orange County, California in 2010. The cafe has 120 locations in 12 states (including 14 in Texas), and plans on to grow to 425 by 2020. Per a Nekter spokesman, this includes more Austin locations, with one slated for 2018 and “likely a few” in 2019, though nothing solid is announced yet.
