California bakery Manresa Bread, an offshoot of the three-Michelin-starred restaurant of the nearly-same name in the San Francisco area, is coming to Austin for a two-day pop-up with bread, pastries, and pizza. It takes place at Neapolitan pizzeria Bufalina from Friday to Saturday, September 21 to 22 at 1519 East Cesar Chavez.
On deck will be loaves of bread and pastries (including croissants and kouign amanns with jam) made with California grains in the mornings from Manresa Bread partner and head baker Avery Ruzicka. Then, for dinner, along with Manresa Bread’s bread chef Todd Parker, the two will fire up two Neapolitan pizza pies, including one topped with roasted peaches, mozzarella, and heirloom tomatoes, as well as other dishes. Scope out the full menu below.
Manresa Bread’s pop-ups begin at 10 a.m. each day for pastries, and then transition into dinner starting at 5 p.m. with pizza and other dishes.
Manresa Bread, which formed out of chef David Kinch’s restaurant Manresa, currently has two locations in the San Francisco area, with a third opening in the fall.
Bufalina isn’t a stranger to hosting out-of-town pop-ups: there was New York pizzeria Roberta’s twice and Los Angeles spot La Morra Pizzeria.
