Via 313 and Rosen’s Bagel Co. are teaming up to make pizza bagels. The nostalgic childhood treats will be available only this month every Saturday over at Rosen’s space within East Austin cafe and bar Wright Bros. Brew and Brew at 500 San Marcos Street.
The miniature bagels will come from Rosen’s, with toppings from Via 313. This means Via’s sausage, pepperoni, garlic, and whipped ricotta (aka its Ambassador’s Bridge) on plain bagels; and gorgonzola, fig preserves, prosciutto, grated parmesan, and balsamic glaze (aka the Cadillac) on rosemary bagels.
Single bagels will cost $5.50, and two will go for $9. All proceeds are going to Out Youth Austin. Rosen’s is open at Wright Bros. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a limited menu from then until midnight.
Rosen started offering its own pizza bagels (without Via 313’s help) earlier this year, with toppings like the usual cheese, margherita, and pepperoni, along with the sweet s’mores iteration with Nutella. Likewise, Foster Heights shop Rockstar Bagels introduced pizza bagels earlier this year as well.
