Franklin Barbecue’s annual summer vacation is around the corner again. The lauded barbecue restaurant will be closed from Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 9, reopening on Friday, August 10.

— Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew’s new Dripping Springs restaurant The Switch added a booze-focused happy hour to its lineup. House cocktails are $2 off, and there are $3 domestic beer pints, and certain craft beer pints for $5. Everything is available from Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 6 p.m. There are also daily drink specials, like half-off bottles of wines on Wednesdays and $5 margaritas and ranch waters on Tuesdays.

— Juice and yogurt shop O’Joy is now cashless and won’t accept bills and coins for payment anymore. The switch happened after the North Burnet shop was robbed on Monday, July 9. For every item sold in the shop, O’Joy donates a meal to a child in need through charity organizations.
