— Austin-based chicken wing chain Pluckers Wing Bar set the opening date for its first San Antonio-area location: Monday, July 9. It’ll serve up the same beloved menu — chicken wings, lots of sauces, burgers, sandwiches, and sides — at 14881 I-35 in North Selma. It’s opening a second San Antonio location at the Landmark Development in spring 2019.
— Henbit, the Fareground stall from Emmer & Rye, is giving away free cookies through on-demand delivery service Favor today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (It was available yesterday as well.)
— Looks like West Sixth bar Brew Exchange is closed. The 706 West 6th Street bar was known for changing the prices of its 100+ beers based on supply and demand. The bar was under KPG Hospitality, which runs Kung Fu Saloon and the forthcoming 8 Track on Manor Road. KPG also closed another West Sixth spot Benji’s Cantina in August 2016.
— Cherrywood spot Unit-D Pizzeria added its version of Sicilian slices to the menu lineup. Dubbed the D-Squared pies, the $5 slices are made with Neapolitan dough topped with sauces, mushrooms, cheese, truffles, and more. It’s served starting at 5 p.m. daily.
— Amazon’s Prime Now delivery service includes beer and wine now.
